BIOGRAPHYDAVIDGIORDAN
I’ve been painting for about two decades. But I first realized I had a passion for drawing before I started school.
I remember my parents buying me a box of 64 Crayola crayons and pads of pristine manila paper—all for me. I loved to make big looping scribble doodles and would fill in the shapes with all the colors from the crayon box. My parents entered one of my drawings in a contest, and I ended up winning a microscope and a set of encyclopedias. I couldn’t believe people would give me stuff just for my doodles! I was hooked.
I enjoy graphic design, painting and illustration. I did this professionally from 1995 to 2019 working for the MSU Alumni Association and University Advancement.
I have exhibited my work in several Michigan galleries and at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids. I’ve won awards in the National Watercolor Society’s Annual Exhibition as well as a best of show at the Michigan Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition in 2019.
