PORTONEIDASERIES

The Port Oneida Rural Historic District consists of 18 historic farmsteads in the Leelanau Peninsula of Northern Michigan. It was originally settled in 1855 and became a lumbering and farming community.  Many of the houses and fields were passed down from generation to generation. Much of Port Oneida is now part of of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
